CITIZEN PUBLIC MATTE 24X24
## Design Intent
This one gives you flexibility: it can be minimal, rustic, or modern depending on what you pair it with. From Emser’s Citizen line in the Public selection, this porcelain field tile is sized 24X24 (Floor, Large Format). Emser describes Citizen as a classic concrete look with subtle brushed color variation for an industrial-meets-refined vibe.
## Recommended Layouts
For a calmer, spa-like feel, keep the layout simple and let the scale do the talking. On big sizes like this, a straight lay feels architectural, while a subtle offset adds movement without getting busy. On floors, keep your main runs straight and your cuts balanced at the perimeter; that’s what makes an install look professional.
## Color + Finish
Matte finishes read relaxed and current, and they’re great when you want the room to feel calm instead of shiny. The colorway is versatile enough to act as a background, which is exactly what you want in a surface you’ll live with every day. When in doubt, a mid-tone grout hides everyday life better than ultra-white.
## Styling Shortlist
Add a patterned runner or textured rug to give the neutral base a little personality. For a timeless finish, keep your cabinet door style simple and let the tile be the subtle upgrade.
## Carton Breakdown
Each carton contains 4 piece(s). Coverage is approximately 15.5 per carton. Unit of measure: SF. Plan typical overage for cuts and waste—more if you’re running diagonals, borders, or a heavy pattern layout. This is the kind of backbone finish designers lean on because it doesn’t date itself fast.
