Hexagon Basalt 2 x 2 is a striking natural marble mosaic that brings the raw, elemental beauty of volcanic stone into refined architectural form. Each 2×2 inch hexagon is cut from 100% black basalt, showcasing deep charcoal grey tones with subtle tonal variation, so every sheet reads as a one-of-a-kind composition rather than a uniform repeat. The honed finish delivers a soft, matte surface with a smooth yet tactile texture underfoot and to the touch, offering slip resistance that makes it a smart choice for wet areas without sacrificing the sophisticated look of natural stone. Mounted on a mesh backing, each sheet measures 11.75 x 12 inches, covering roughly 0.98 square feet, with 13 sheets per box totaling about 12.73 square feet, allowing for efficient, consistent installation across larger areas.

This mosaic is well suited to interior floors and walls, shower floors and walls, and exterior wall cladding, making it a versatile option for bathrooms, kitchen backsplashes, feature walls, and accent surfaces. It is not recommended for pools, pool liners, or exterior floors. The 3/8-inch thickness ensures durability for both residential and commercial-grade applications.

Design-wise, Hexagon Basalt pairs beautifully with matte black fixtures, warm wood tones, brushed brass hardware, and minimalist white or concrete-look surfaces, bridging industrial and organic-modern aesthetics with ease. Because natural variation is inherent to basalt, blending tiles from multiple sheets before installation is recommended for a balanced final look. Pair with a quality stone sealer for long-term protection. Order your sample of Hexagon Basalt today and bring authentic volcanic-stone character to your next design project.
