If you’re going for a more formal look, a straight lay plank can feel surprisingly refined. On floors, keep your main runs straight and your cuts balanced at the perimeter; that’s what makes an install look professional.

## Surface and Color
As a porcelain surface, it’s a dependable choice for everyday living—easy to style, easy to live with. The Brown tone gives you a strong base for the rest of the palette—paint, cabinets, and hardware can swing warmer or cooler without fighting the finish. A tone-on-tone grout keeps the surface smooth and modern; a contrasting grout calls out the pattern.

## Decorator Pairings
It’s a natural fit with white walls, mixed metals, and either light or medium wood cabinetry. If you like contrast, go darker on the grout or the hardware—but not both at the same time.
